Migration

Today in class we talked about migration. migration is the moving from one place to another.  We talked about key ideas such as, where are migrants distributed? Where do people migrate within a country? Why do people migrate? Why do migrants face obstacles? We also talked about mobility, mobility is most generalized to a term, that refers to all types of movement. Circulation is the repeated acts of mobility. International migration is the move from one country to another. internal migration is permanent move within the same country. 9 percent of worlds people are international migrants. as of 2010 there was 43 mil foreign residents growing fast. when the US was founded a ton of europeans came to America. Then the gold rush of California happened and brought many people. people stopped coming during WW2.
